Thanks for asking.

| Re: I might need to sell my 7710-II Nothing new. I talked to my friend who is a salesman there and he said it is still up for sale even though they moved the tractor to the back of their lot and out of peoples line of sight. I don't know what they are hoping for as putting it back there isn't going to sell it very fast.

| Re: I might need to sell my 7710-II Well, a slight update to this thread. I finished paying off the loan I used to buy the 7710-II from CNH. The tractor still sits out back at my local NH dealer and there has been no change in its status at all and no attempts at communication from the dealer or me in regards to this. I have had plenty of other things going on to worry about but as things get paid off I hope to stock pile enough money to eventually make an offer to get it back.
I am nervous about buying it back though. To my knowledge it has not moved or even been started in over a year. I am wondering what problems I may encounter if or when I ever do get it back as it will have sat for a long time by then. And I don't think the dealer is going to care much if at all about any problems I have as a result of the machine being parked for so long

| Re: I might need to sell my 7710-II If you are considering paying off the work order and getting the tractor out of hock, please do so with an open mind. You know more about that tractor than any used machine you will ever consider buying. That tractor has more recently preformed major repairs than most 7710's you will find. A well-kept 7710 is a very good tractor in most folk's estimation. Right now you have little to show for your investment and paying it off will get you back in the seat of a sound 86 hp tractor of more or less known quality for less money than is likely any other way. I would not be concerned with the length of time it has sat around, but If I were going to buy this tractor, I'd get it home before winter, or at least get it started and inspected and know that it is functionally OK and winterized now. |

I was starting to think about the time it has just sat and was wondering if that may cause problems. I won't worry about it anymore and hopefully will be able to get the tractor back in a few months. I will stop in when I am ready to negotiate and inspect it first and hopefully everything will be fine.

| Re: I might need to sell my 7710-II Except maybe for the battery being dead, I wouldn't worry about anything else.
Provided they put in antifreeze. Should be ok. Might want to change the oil; for
sure if it looks milky.
I'd sooner buy a tractor I knew was sound than an unknown machine.

I am just finally getting out of the hole I dug myself into and am thinking of this tractor again. I had some concerns about it sitting so long and wanted to discuss them on here before I even think about talking to anyone at the dealership about the tractor.

The way you say it, you make it sound like this all happened due to your own ignorance... I dont think you should blame yourself for a chain of bad luck..
