MH50
My MH 50 throttle does not let the engine rev up very high. it was operating perfectly, I shut it off and was unresponsive when restarted it 5 minutes later.
Engine will rev if I open the throttle a little at the carburetor manually.
The rod going from the carb throttle to an arm at the front of the engine does not move. Any suggestions to repair or where I can find a diagram would be much appreciated. Thanks

I have the same problem on my MF-50, did you figure anything out with it?

I'm not at all familiar with that tractor, or governor. That being said, on my IH tractors, that is usually a sign of a broken spring, or bad thrust bearing in the governor assembly.

If you don't have a service, or parts manual, go here: AGCO Parts Books When the page opens, click on "view books" in the lower box, beside where it says guest user. On the next page, type in 50, where it asks model, then select Massey Ferguson from the menu at right. On the next page that appears, select MH-50. On the next page that appears, scroll down to page 38, throttle, choke, and governor, and click on it. An exploded view of the linkage, and gov. internals will appear.

There are two springs showing that could be the culprit. Hope this helps.
