Current Vermeer balers have drop and go, with no need to cut the PTO off or back up. Comparing a 30 year old baler to a current model is not an accurate comparison.incorrect with string the difference is. in thick windrows ,you have to back a vermeer up to tie or the hay gets caught in the string.the john deere you just tie and never back up.that is a time saving .
Just think about what you are saying "You are saying 2 strings are faster than 4 strings at a time." Given you are putting on the same amount of twine over the same area it is impossible.a new holland actually string ties faster than a vermeer or deere. the way the two twine arms cover a side of the bale each, is faster than going on the way across and then back again.
what is the differance between vermeer's 5500 rebel,665 rancher and the 555xl?
