Hi all, Nice to have this site available!!

i have a JD 336 baler. Last year it worked great, this year knotter wont knot. Not even one. the ends of the twine have a knot in it, but is not tied to the other end of the string. Cuts of the string seem fine. Both sides are the same. Any ideas?

Which twine has the knot in it, the one on the front of the bale, or the one on the top.

If the one on the front of the bale has the knot, then the twine disc is either too loose, or you are just baling way tooooooo tight.

If the one on the top of the bale has it, then the tucker fingers may not be working and getting the front twine to the bill hook. There is a return spring for the tucker fingers, and it is not unheard of for this spring to break. It takes a new spring and the S link that attaches it to the baler.

What kind of twine are you using, sisal or plastic. If sisal, get plastic and throw the sisal away.
