I'm going to have to say there is something amiss here.
Why didn't they dig it out more before pulling it out?

I can't imagine paint to be so well preserved with sitting in the mud for 70 years. And they managed to free the tracks with power washing?

Hopefully they had someone to look at any unexploded ordinances.

Yeah, its in amazing condition. It could be the mud helped perserve it? I'd be curious what the inside looks like.

Here is a Russian T34 with German markings that was pulled from a lake/bog in 2000. Abandoned by the German crew when out of fuel, as I heard it.
