Got a new hoe. Leyland Cranvel 154

Hi all,

Not sure if its in the right section. I sure as wouldn't try and use it to make a buck, as in for "serious" construction.

Thought I would put up some fotos of my new purchase. A new to me Leyland (cranvel) 154. Nice little compact backhoe with a handy little FEL.
Diesel 4 cylinder, with the hydr pump hanging off the front.

She sure aint a new one. Got an interesting setup wrt to the hoe. Pivots just behind the diff and again where the hydraulic tank connects to the actual hoe.

See the odd Leyland of similar vintage around these parts, so hopefully parts arent too much of an issue.

Lots of research to do, so am grateful for any assistance I can get from the collective.

Here are a few more pics.

Prev owner recons the front wheels are VW.

Recon I will start with the obvious fluid/filter change. Not sure if the oil filter is inside a outer casing or whether some bright spark simply painted over it at some stage. Will have to get some fotos and post em up.

Just one of several things that I will need to get to the bottom of.

G'day Jatt handy looking unit you have there. What is your location? I ask this as leyland guru's are getting thin on the ground nowadays Paul Maber in Elmore victoria is a great guy to deal with.
