A dozen or so huge tractors up to 14l Steiger, all offered as salvage with a hole cut in the block, many w chassis cut also. No explanation for cut. Several brands.

Have these idiots considered the energy "built in" to these machines that still look to have useful life left in them vs mining, manufacturing etc., ect, a replacement that has "cleaner" emissions? :confused3:

I've seen ditch pumps and trucks advertised for sending out of state. I wonder if the explanation here is the owners got a subsidy for trade-in, a 'Cash for Clunkers' promotion.


California unfortunately needs clean air regs, the air was unbreathable years ago. The politicians didn't go nuts, they responded (reluctantly) to the voters who demanded they Do Something!! about the unbreathable air.

Sorry this impacts others as well.

A good hand with a welder will have those cases back whole in no time.

The slag from cutting may be another issue ;-)
