If you are allergic to poison ivy and don't know this cure you'll thank me!
I just got back from spraying all ivy I could see with Roundup.
It's Jewel Weed also called Touch Me Not. Late summer it has small trumpet shaped small orange flowers.
We pick a large pot full and wife adds some water, boils it down until it looks like dark tea. We keep a gallon jug in the refrigerator. When I get ivy blisters I pour the Jewel liquid in a bowl, take a paper towel folded about 4"x4", soak it and make a compress, leave it on maybe an hour or so. It works for other skin rashes I've tried.
Jewel Weed grows in wet shady soil along creek banks, ponds. You can just rub the leaves on it but the "tea" works better.
