The 610 and 2610 are pretty much the same engine. If I remember correct the 680 is the same except it had to meet the newer emmissions standards at that time. I looked at a 680 on my dealers lot and the engine looked the same. Tractor data has the
HP the same on those 3 engine numbers. Tractor data list a 2710. I never saw one of those and the old Long web site never had one in their line up.
UTB made these engines for Long. They also have their own line of tractors and they go on up in
HP. Long didn't make tractors. They bought from UTB and that line was shipped in to Tarboro for assembly. Go to Tractor Data web site and you can find the Long and UTB tractors. I'm expect UTB made a larger engine that would bolt right up to your 610 and that may be what you have.
