TAFE tractors are made in India and Korea, their two wheel drive are made in India, the four wheel drives are made by LG. I can only speak for the LG made ones, they are a nice machine. I have never heard anything bad about the India made ones.

TAFE, stands for "Tractor And Farm Equipment". It is a manufacture of tractors in India. To sell tractors in India they had to be built there, not imported, so the only way Massey could sell tractors there was to have an licenseing aggreement with a manufacturer in that country. Back in the Massey Ferguson days, way before Agco, MF made this agreement with Tafe to build MF tractors. Massey supplied all the blueprints and technical information and in return was paid a percentage back on each tractor built. These tractors are painted red and labled Massey Ferguson in India.
Perkins, then owned by Massey made the same aggreement with Simpsons Engines to build the engines for the tractors.
Ford Motor Company did the same with Escorts of India, and that is where the Ford looking tractor comes from for Farmtrac.
Tafe's compact tractors are LG's, same as Montana/Farmtrac compacts
