I am looking to get an I Match for my CUT. From what I can tell there are always compatability issues w/ other brands of implements. As the implements I have are all Land Pride, I was thinking the Land Pride version of I Match might make some sense.

Does anyone have one of these?

How much do they cost?

Do they work as well as the JD I Match system?

Thanks,

Mike

Don't buy the I-Match! Only 10% of implements currently being manufactured are adaptable & compatible to the I-Match measurements. The LandPride quick hitch is better. The Speeco is better as well.

If you have a Tractor Supply store near you, they sell the Speeco quick hitch. This is one of those things I wish I had gotten years ago.

Interesting, aren't they all built to the same ASAE specs? Not that iMatch is better for anything other than a better marketing name than "ASAE S278.6 U-Frame Coupler", I just would have figured they'd all have consistent incompatibilities.

For 50 years the spacing from the lower pins to the toplink was 18-20". All the manufacturers all used this and there was no ASAE standard. So JD applied for the standard to be 15" so their I-Match would have an exclusive. ASAE was duped into creating a bad standard and it should be changed. Less that 15% of JD customers have the I-Match quick hitch. The I-Match system is so small a market, you just don't see manufacturers changing 50 years of manufacturing just because JD thinks it is a good idea. The I-Match spacing will not even work on most hay equipment.

I have the Land Pride quick hitch and it works well. Ours is about 10 years old, so I don't know the price but I'd say that it will be close to Deere's I-Match.

The quick hitch spacing is an industry-wide standard. Buy the Land Pride or SpeeCo with confidence.

Good to know! Are the other quick hitches just not the ASAE standard or can they be set to ASAE or "de facto" standard mode?

Either way for me it's the top pin hook rather than spacing that will kill the deal for my chipper, I'm afraid. The design of the toplink bracket won't allow a hook to come underneath it.

Most of them have a "Y" haped adapter that can be used in place of the top hook to accomidate things like your chipper. I have the Speedco adapter and don't use it since many of my implements including LandPride don't fit it.

Wow, I just called a local NH dealer who sells a lot of Land Pride implements. He quoted me a price of $400 (plus shipping costs to get it to his location from Land Pride) for their version of the Quick Hitch.

Compared to the $244 I was just quoted for the JD I Match, that seems awfully high.

Anyone have any ideas on whether there is a way to pick up one of these cheaper? I have an email into Tarheel tractor to see what they have to say, but haven't heard back yet.

Anyone know how much the tractor supply version runs? I couldn't find a price on their web page.
