To buy or not to buy NI 215 manure spreader
I found this spreader in classifieds. Unfortunatley it is about 2.5 hrs away from me and I don't have a truck to tow it back here with. I think I might be able to work something out with the seller though.
It looks good in the pictures I think and I would verify what the seller says the condition is visually and will hook it up before paying for it and. I wouldn't be able to do much better than that if I bought one at an auction anyway so I'm guessing there is always risk.
Reasons I am hesitant:
- It's about on the edge of being a little on the big side for my Kubota L3400 HST. Believe that this is 150 to 160 bushell. I'm thinking that I don't have to load it up completely plus my land is very flat so I *think* should be ok.
- I might be able to find a better deal on a slightly smaller spreader at an auction in the future ... then again I might not... and I will have to figure out how to haul it over to my place anyway.... without a truck.
I'm not in a rush. I plan to spread close to the fall before I do some broadcast seeding. However this does seem like a good spreader and seems to be a good deal compared to what dealers are selling used spreaders for
Price is $1800 CDN.
What do you think?

Your tractor will handle that spreader easy. Fill'er up and let it fly!
