Anyone used a Marine Tilt and Trim unit for a Front or Rear equipment lift, like to lift a plow blade or a tiller or snow plow, etc you get the idea?
I would like to mount one on my Garden Tractor as they are ALOT LESS than a tractor hitch.

Thanks a bunch guys!!!!!!!!

You will still need to mount the tank/pump combo. Where do you plan to put it?

I used a marine set up for a plow idea on my rider mower. It did work with plenty of power but was slow going up and down. I mounted the pump/tank under the seat. Wireing the motor to switches was a little trickey.

I had planned to mount a small compact tilt & trim unit on the rear on a custom made mount that can be unbolted and re-bolted to the front of the tractor.
I have seen several small T&T units that do not have a separate reservoir, they are self-contained and will lift a 200 lb. motor which my push blade or drag weigh even with weight on it. So it will be like a small sleeve hitch with the T&T unit mounted to it.

Think it will work?????

You will need to consider waterproofing it. A normal marine unit expects to live it's life in a dry hot bilge area. I would spray it thoroughly with LPS-3 or similar waxy coating. The basic idea sounds good. Simple self contained 12v solution for a small need. It would require a 3 postion rocker switch; up-off-down. West Marine or Boat-US should have all parts you need, including a dash type rocker switch.
