I have two right now and I just got done using one of them, it's a spike tooth harrow. The only good I can see that it does is level the ground some but the negative is that it drags up an unbeliveable amount of stones. The other attachment that I really can't see much use for is the 7 tine spike tooth harrow that I bought last year. It was supposed to be used instead of a disc but after using a disc this spring it isn't any replacement for a disc. Like the harrow it seems to bring up turned over ground that I had buried with the plow. Maybe a day will come when I find good uses for these two things but so far no luck.
Anyone else have an attachement that they wish would still be at the dealer?

My Dad's backhoe. Not that it's not a good implement, but every time we hook it up, it means we're having to do manual labor! :D

I am somewhat surprised to say that my medium duty rear blade with both angle and tilt has proven to be useful for little more than snow removal. Even at 450lbs it's not heavy enough for much grading or ditching work. In hindsight I would have been better off getting a simpler, cheaper rear blade just for snow removal, and taking the money saved to use toward (1) landscape rake for driveway and rock removal, and (2) box blade for grading.

The other implements I've bought so far have proven useful and I plan to keep all of them:
LX6 brushhog
scarifier (useful for me because of pasture renovations, wouldn't be useful for most people; with enough hp it also doubles as a subsoiler)
heavy duty disc harrow
flexible chain harrow 8x8 - does a great job of busting clods and leveling out ground for seeding or for leveling the dirt/gravel driveway I have

Hey Z, just a little FYI. We had the same problem with one of our blades once. The main "body" of it was made from a large piece of pipe, and we figured out that if we welded a plug into the front and rear of the pipe, we could cut a hole in the top and fill it with concrete. I think we got almost two bags of concrete into it, which added enough weight to make it more useful. I'm not sure if the design of yours will allow that, but it may be worth looking at.

off brand tiller. it works, ok, but it's not great and it's hard to get parts for.

5' Box blade. not big enough, strong enough and not sturdy enough, I almost never use it. Better tools for the job. (no matter what the job is)

Midwest heavy duty rear blade. Not heavy duty enough , need to re-work it and add hydraulics. Midwest landscape rake. Twisted the bar that holds the rake tines, re-built that and now have noticed that the hitch is starting to bend.:( Need to re-work that now I guess, and maybe add hydraulics.:)

After having these 2 implements, I figure that they were most likely for a 50hp tractor or less and I should have paid for stronger implements. In my defense, the dealer said that the rear blade would be fine with my tractor, he was wrong. And I thought that I could be careful with the landscape rake, ha, bent it the 2nd time that I used it.

All part of the learning cycle.:)

Post hole digger.

Well, It's real handy when you need a hole - but the other 364 3/4 days a year it's just in the way.

I really don't use the 3ph drawbar and the associated vertical bar that I bought which allows attachment to the top link, thus preventing rotation of the drawbar. That's the only two tools that I don't believe I've gotten back what I put into them.

I do not use that verticle bar(s) arrangement either; mine looks pretty flimsy. I have not used my landscape rake much yet, but I got it late last season and it was free so I am really not out any money (yet; at least for that attachment ). Jay
