My lower swing pivot pin evidently walked up about 1/8" and stuck that way. It's been like that ever since I owned it, and I wouldn't care except that it is high enough that the swing piston shaft crushes the zerk fitting. Greasing the pin requires removing the crushed fitting, replacing with a new one, pumping full of grease, then replacing the crushed fitting. Bogus.
The pin in question is the lower #12 in the two pictures attached.
I loosened the pinch bolts, and shot the area around the pin full of penetrating oil. I applied pressure using a car sissor jack, trying to push the pin down and seat it correctly - pushing against the upper part of the boom casting (under the top pin). I floated the boom down trying to minimize pin pressure, then after that didn't work, bashed it around trying to set up vibrations or anything that might break the pin free.
Ultimately, the sissor jack's drive bolt crushed, and the pin didn't move. A failed effort.
Help?
