Caster wheels instead of roller on flail mower? Sound like a worthwhile modification? I don't have a live PTO, so I try to keep the tractor moving and mowing round and round the pasture. Turning is a little difficult with the mower on the ground, but I want to keep it cutting grass. When I pick it up, it turns a lot easier, and sharper, but it either cuts tall, or not at all. Seems like casters would help. 2 or 3 across the back, maybe 4.
