Hi everyone,

I want a good PTO chipper to handle a lot of woods on my property. I just ran across this one, which looks like a GREAT deal to me. Anyone heard of them or have any feedback?

No experience here but I'm sure i wouldn't want to work around one with that chain flying around on the pto drive shaft.

Sure does look like a Jinma Chipper to me, right down to the placement of the decals.

It's definitely a chinese chipper. Read up on them on the chinese forum and/or attachment forum. Not all are made in the same factory and it appears that makes a difference in parts availability.

We have been selling the Jinma chippers for years with little or no problems, the pricing is about the same.Liberty is including shipping but you may be able find one closer to you for less,it looks like they are allowing about $ 300.00 for shipping in there pricing. They are a good value,We stock all parts for the Jinmas, not all the parts will interchange with the others

If it is not a Jimna it certainly must be another knock-off. It sure looks IDENTICAL!! Just remember an American name does not mean an American product. Some people have been quite happy with the Jimnas and others have had to heavily modify it to make it a workable unit. There is lots posted about them.

Jinma means "Golden Horse" in Chinese [I am not an expert here, bear with me]. It seems to be a fairly common thing for the Chinese to add Golden Horse to a company name, and sometimes means that the company is located near Jinma mountain, or even Jinma hill [heah, they name things like that....ie...the year of the monkey, etc.]. Golden Horse even pops up in the names of resturaunts, bars, etc. here in the states. The Jiangse Yueda Tractor Manufacturing Company near the city of Yancheng [north of Shanghai on the Yellow Sea coast] makes the Golden Horse/Jinma/lots of other name tractors, and supposably is the maker of THE ORIGINAL JINMA chipper, whatever that means. Anyway, just more junk to think about. [ Dougster, you listening ?? :) ]

I have a real jinma, it took about one hour to do the mods that are posted on this board, I have been very happy with it! I worked it for 10 hours yesterday putting in cedars, maples and some oak. Complete tree tops with leaves and all. No jams, it just keeps on eating! It is a great value if you are at all mechanical. The mods are simple, and I really question if all are really needed?

Also remember, these are like any piece of machinery, they have no consciounce! they will chip trees or body parts, makes no difference.

You are supposed to be smarter than the tool you are operating!!!!!
