I have a Kubota L3540 and need to remove the rows in a field and level it out. I have a good box blade for the leveling...but need to plough up the weeds and get out the rows.

I am new to my tractor and teh manual says I can only handle a 72 inch plough. My friend has a 8 footer that I can borrow and use. He says that my tractor should be able to handle it...just take it slow and easy.

I need some experienced guys to help me here...what do you think about it???

I'd hook it up and see what happens. You're not gonna hurt the plow and when the tractor dies or spins the wheels you'll know it's too big for it. You could maybe unbolt a couple blades too.

If it's a 3-point discs, they are much much lighter than the pulled kind. You can probably get away with it. I have found where I live, though, the discs never work out breaking through old pasture. I end up plowing first. Which, if you've never ploughed before, it's not as easy as you'd think.
