For those of you that have front end loaders, what brand do you have and why? I'm guessing most of you have the same brand as your tractor, but I've heard Woods makes a good one and there must be others. Does it have to be the same brand as your tractor to be a quick disconnect?

I don't have a loader - yet. I will go with the Kubota LA302 when I do finally get one. Warranty, design, price, and color - in that order - are the "why's." The Allied I was quoted was only 400$ cheaper - not enough to sway me. If I had a larger tractor, I would seriously consider the Alo Quicke.

I purchased a used Ford 1700 without a FEL from a Dealer in Fredericksburg, VA (Theros Equip). They added a Bush Hog 1846 QT FEL. Not sure what the FEL alone cost - the entire package (Ford 1700 w/ 816 hours, 5 ft brush cutter, rear blade and FEL) was $7850, including complete service/replacement of all fluids and delivery, so I was happy with the deal. The FEL is quick attach/detach (two nuts, a pin and disconnect the hydraulics) and came with the legs/stand for parking it. I haven't actually tried detaching it, but it appears that it should be relatively easy.

I have a Long 5140 loader, same brand as the tractor. I got it with the tractor from the dealer. I have never taken it off, but it is quick disconnect with stand.

I bought my Kubota L3000DT as a package with the Kubota FEL. I knew it fit and the color matched the tractor. It has quick disconnects but I have yet to take it off.

I purchased the Kubota loader with my L4610. It is a quick diconnect, with a stand, but I have yet to take it off, and I'm not sure I'll ever have a need at this point.

Seemed like I got a pretty good deal buying a complete Kubota package, with tractor and loader together.
