Just a note,,,,Went with a good friend to look at a 110" Befco (thats not a misprint) and 84" Woods finish mowers today. We ended up buying both...The Befco is a C70-110 and comes with safety chains front and rear and has anti scalp roller standard. This mower is about 8 years old and very sturdy (1200 lbs). Has swinging blades like a brush hog, but made for finish mowing. Its rear discharge. The Woods is the RD84 rear discharge and looks like new...owner said it only had a few hours on it. Both were hooked up to a 4600 SU Ford tractor to see/hear run. All systems go...We took them both----$1500 each. Gonna pick them up tomorrow. BobG in VA

Bob,

Don't you know that theft is a prosecutable crime. How can you sleep at night knowing how you stole those mowers!!!

I'm just kidding. Sounds like you got a very good deal. I paid $2K for a new 6' Woods RFM this spring. It is the PRD heavy duty unit.

The dealer cost was $1820. I know this for a fact because he showed me the invoice. My dad worked for him for over 30 years as his main salesman so I get stuff at cost. Well...almost. After he pays the sales tax he made a whopping $61.00 profit and had to put it together.

I bet that Rhino unit new retails over $3500.

I did a tad of looking last nite. That mower may sell new for as much as $5500. We went and picked them up this afternoon. It was tough getting both on a 16 ft tandem axel trailer, but we got home with them OK. I'll try and get a couple pics this weekend. BobG in VA
