My wifes grandfather is giving us his baler. I have not seen this baler but my wife was at his farm for his 80th. birthday party last week and she went to look at the condition of the baler. She said it was a JD 14D. I did an extensive search and can not find any 14D. I am thinking it is probably a 14T. Has anyone ever heard of a 14D???? Thanks...

Most likely a 14T (T as in TWINE)

Good balers in their day.

The answer to your question = nope. At least not in England. Not much experience with JD balers but as with all old balers parts can be pricy and difficult to get hold of. Also a rotted out old machine will never ever produce a good bale. :)

FWJ, if a 14T stands for twine, was there a 14W standing for wire?

this baler is in very good shape for it's age. It has been inside the barn for the past couple of years, since he quit using it..
Thanks for the answers, I figured there was no such thing as a 14D, I just wanted to make sure...
