Does anyone own or have any information on the UNITED brand of disks?

Are they good or bad (quality)?

I have a dealer very close by (driving distance with my tractor) who gave me a quote on a 6 1/2' United disk harrow. He said it is heavy duty. It has 3" square tubing, sealed bearings on the 1" axle, 20-18" notched blades, adjustable by "pulling a pin and lever"(?), and weighs 750 lbs. I could finance it for 90 days no interest for $972.00 with tax out the door, or pay cash for the same amount.

Is that a good deal?

I would like to go to a website for UNITED implements, but can't seem to find one.

Thanks for any and all information.

They look like a heavy set of disks, almost just like my 6 1/2 foot Howse disks that I used to have. I don't like the "bolts" that you have to take out to adjust the gangs- justlike my Howse brand i used to own.

I got a couple years on Kingkutter 6-1/2' disc made like your talking about, the 3" square tube frame. It's a good disc for smaller hp (35) or there abouts tractors. It's held up pretty well and the cost was just about what you're talking about. I looked at the light duty discs made with angle iron and thought I'd probably tear them up pretty quickly. bjr

Just wanted to update this thread. I picked up the disc this afternoon. Turns out it was 72". There are 8 sets of two grease zerks on the disc. Three point hitch of course and it looks like it is heavy duty enough for my needs. Price was as we had talked.

The paint job is not the best I have ever seen, but it will be inside most of the time anyway, so that isn't a huge problem for me.

If there is any interest, I'll try to take some pictures in the next few days and post for you to see.

I believe the dealer ships anywhere in the United States - perhaps even beyond our borders.

Yes, please. Would like to see some photos of that new disk.
