If you're buying new Kubota weights all you can do is check several dealers and try for a better price.

If you either make or have someone else up the bracket for you, it's possible to find all sorts of weights in tractor scrap yards. The other idea is to rig up a bracket that will take used weight lifting weights. There's any number of ways to add weight to the front. You could rig up a concrete block with embedded brackets and detachable legs that you drive up to and pin on.

An expensive way would be to foam fill the front tires. That would probably add 100 to 200 lbs. If you have a loader
the loader frame is going to complicate things.

JD suitcase weights are $35. each and weight 42 lbs.

The guy I bought my tractor from had bolted 3 steel slabs to the front bumper. They are about 1 1/2 inch thick, 8 inches high and 18 inches long. They are a big help. Also the local used sporting goods store sells olympic plates (weights) for 39 cents/pound. You would have to make something to mount them but I can imagine a very nice set up. I read about a guy who bolted a big ammo box to the front bumper and filled it with scrap lead from the tire shop.

I made a bracket that I use to bolt on surplus weights from a weight lifting machine. I have 9 of them hanging there. Along with the bracket and weights it equals 151 lbs. I could try to post pictures when I get home later.

Here is the bracket that I welded together to hang the weights from

I used a piece of black pipe to slide in the holes in the weights, I can use all 9 of them or as many as I feel i'll need
