Has anyone ever heard of "The Limbach Line" and "International" brands for tractor implements? There is a local dealer that sells used tractors and new and used implements who has new "The Limbach Line" post hole diggers with 12" augers for $385. It looks similar to the ones at TSC that sell for $460. He also has new 5' bush hogs in both King Kutter (the blue ones, which are hard to find) and "International" (red) brands for $550. It's a different "International" than the one that made Farmall tractors and the trucks. I don't know how they can use the same name, but I guess they can. They also have "International" boom poles that look a lot like the King Kutter ones, and they sell for $60. The King Kutter ones sell for $70 at TSC. The "International" boom poles are rated at 1000lbs lift, and the King Kutter ones are rated at 500lbs.

Danny,

Leinbach Machinery Company. They offer some solid equipment at reasonable cost.
I have their 3pt 2" reciever hitch and I believe the boompole I have might be the one you've described. Mine wasn't labeled with any name. If it is the same unit its a much better built piece than the KK pole. Larger dia. material all the way around. Here's a pic of the one I have. here

My "Leinbach Line" auger takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'. I've used it some very nasty digging - broke many 1/2" auger shear bolts and 3/8" shaft shear bolts - even twisted the plate the gearbox hangs from - still works great. The auger's bottom end could be a little harder (folds back too easy) - but I'm putting 40+ hp into it - sorta abusive.

I have a 7' Leinbach rake that I bought used, it's well built and has held up very well.

It sounds like the Leinbach post hole digger would be a good buy. It also sounds like I'd better go with the King Kutter bush hog, since they have a good reputation. I heard somewhere else that the International bush hogs have weak U-joints in the driveshaft. I guess I'll go with the International boom pole, since it doesn't have any moving parts and has a higher lift capacity than the King Kutter. It looks like I might be spending some money at that place. My neighbor said he bought a disk from them and has been happy with it. Since I'll be buying 3 things, maybe I can get them to give me some kind of discount package deal. Thanks for your help!

DFB, I just bought a boom pole that looks exactly like the one in your picture, including the color, for $60. It uses tube steel pretty much everywhere except the piece that goes across bottom where the 2 bottom hitch pins are attached, which is angle iron, is that the way yours is (it’s hard to tell in the pic)? The place I bought it from said it was made by "International" and it's the same color as their "International" bush hogs. There is no name on it anywhere. Either Leinbach makes boom poles for "International", or this dealer got mixed up and told me the wrong thing by mistake. It works great, I used it the day I bought it to unload a mower I bought from the same place that day.

Yea Danny, the one I have is built exactly the same way with a piece of angle iron across the bottom.
I couldn't tell ya who actually makes 'em. Here's a link to one being advertised under the Leinbach name. <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.marshall-machinery.com/mm/display_product.asp?category=new&equip_type=economyproduct&sku=LBBL6&sequence=23>Leinbach BL-6boom</A>

A while back I posted a photo of my tractor with the pole attached. You can see that <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.tractorbynet.com/forumfiles/5-79689-3ptboom.jpg>here</A>.

Sounds like you got a great price too!

International makes their own equipment. If anything they are making it for the other guys. I've been there(International). They do get their tillers, Finish Mowers, seeders and a couple of other things from someone else but, if it is just welded together steel they make it themselves. They make an uglier than sin heavy duty rotary cutter also, up to 10ft cut.
