I am looking at a King Kutter II, TG-60-y rotor tiller. What are your thoughts on this brand tiller? What does the "II" mean at the end of some King Kutter equipment?
Thanks, John

Marketing for "new and improved!"

It's a good tiller, you'll like it.

King Kutter brand equipment is manufactured (for the most part) in Winfield, Alabama. King Kutter II is their tiller manufacturing arm located in Ohio.

I have a 60" KKII that I've been thoroughly impressed with.

Disclaimer: I have family that works at KK in Winfield. Regardless, I'm still thoroughly impressed with the tiller. :)

Hope that helps,

BR

I have a King Kutter II 6' tiller that's been pounded, and still does a great job. I'm thoroughly impressed with the product your family is involve with in Winfield Ohio.

As good as just about any tiller on the market. Lower priced than just about any tiller on the market. Available at more retail outlets than any tiller on the market. Quality that's easy to find and at a low price too. Tough act to beat.

Actually, she works in the Winfield, Alabama location. Their Ohio plant is in Gallipolis, OH.

King Kutter often gets a bad rap for being "cheap" equipment. Sure, you can get heavier, tougher equipment, but you'll certainly pay for it. For the price, I've been well please with my KK implements. And, as has been discussed here many times, their tillers are second to none (especially for the price).

Thanks,

BR

Thanks for the impromptu geography lesson ;)

Before I bought the KK tiller, I borrowed a Woods and rented a Howard Rotovator. The KK held its own against the Woods. No doubt the Howard tiller was a better product, but at 3-1/2 times the cost. And in the end, the KK tiller does everything I need and has had ZERO problems. When "good enough" is good enough, why spend a fortune on something far beyond what you have to have?

Thanks guys. Sometimes you get what you pay for. More cost = better quality. From what I see here, the KK is the way to go. BTW, the 60 inch is on sale at TSC here for $1095. John

That's what I paid years ago! Nice.

This time of year is the time to snap up some bargains. Dealers don't want cultivation equip sitting all winter - better to move it.

The King Kutter tillers and the Taylorway tillers are basically the same thing. They both use OMNI GEAR components. The Taylorway use the new KK Pro design and are usually a better buy.
