We cut mowing time with me on the BX23 and the wife on the CC GT2554.

Your wife has my sympathy.

DMG,
If you were cutting a larger section of land, do you think your percentage of time would decrease even more, as you would have less set up time, more mowing time?
What size fuel tank is on the Swisher. I put a four gallon one on the offset pull behind mower I built, and it lasts about as long as the mower that is pulling it. Do you have to stop for fuel for it before your pulling mower requires it?

Toolguy - Thanks! I offset the mower to the right side so that I can mow close to the fence row and trees on the left of the 62C. I have never had a problem with grass rowing beside the swisher , could be due to the fact that I am using Gator blades ?

Sandman - Yes time would definetly decrease on a larger section I would beleive. I now mow 4 acres in under 1.5 hours , it used to take 3.
The fuel tank size is 2 gallons and I can easily mow the 4 acres with a 14.5 hp Briggs on the swisher and still have fuel left.

When I pulled mine behind my Quad it was great as long as I didn't take it on the hills. It would tend to really slide sideways and it was very hard to backup with. Those were the only drawbacks. Flat smooth land and you could really rip.

I bought a 44 inch Swisher back in '99. I cant stand to mow without it. Seems like it takes 3 or 4 times as long with out it. I originally set mine up with the trailmower on the discharge side. All the dust and dirt kicked up by the mower deck was thrown onto the trailmower so I swapped sides.
My neighbor bought one a couple of years later and I put a hitch on the back of my trail mower and sometimes we gang them up and cut the area behind both our houses at the same time. That's a swath of just over 10 feet in on pass!
Another advantage is to use the trailmower around trees. One quick circle around the tree and your done. It turns much tighter than the rider is able to.

I've been mowing with my Swisher for 8 years behind an ATV. It now has a new motor in it. My first big project with my tractor was redoing about 600 foot of ditches along our shared private drive which borders my property. It took about 40 tractor hours. I moved the ditches about 6 feet from the road (they were about 1 foot before) so I can now mow with my pull behind mower and ATV and leave the string trimmer in the garage. I have no issues mowing sideways on hills up to about 20 degrees. For me, I prefer this setup over a tractor due to weight on the septic and drain fields. Plus no pucker factor on my slopes. The ATV is a Polaris Sportsman 500 a weighs close to 1000 pounds with me on it.

I had a tow behind mower before I had my tractor and sold it last year. I kind of miss it now. It was great for mowing under big Fir trees since you could tuck it under the tree without having to get beaten up by the branches.

I may buy another one if they show up on Craigslist.

They are certainly great for mowing large areas of flat land.
