I found out the mower was not a Bimax , it is a Bimek made by Tonutti co,of Italian manufacture . Does this ring a bell to anyone out there ? Dealer is asking $1000. for a 4 ft , and $1050. for a 5 ft. Any help would be appreciated in terms of quality. It does not have a center anti scalp wheel ?

Welcome to the Game...:D
Just make sure there is room in your checkbook...because Tractors and attachments are like Lays Potato Chips...No one can just have ONE...:D

Paul ,I believe you , I picked up the Bimak mower the other day . It looks pretty good . Now I am reading old threads on how to shorten the PTO shaft . Its too long at its shortest ( if that makes sense)for my little Kabota. The couplers are a bit rusty and need to be cleaned to go on easy. I have a bit of work ahead of me . There are still a few weeks of mowing ahead here in Pa and I already put the mmm to bed. So I have to get it mowing.

Thanks Paul, That worked , I took bite sized pc's to make sure in the beginning , Then I had to wait for the saw to recharge , I finished up , took her for a test run and the pto came out of the gearbox , It seems I didn't have it in the correct position to lock up. Its a little tight in there with the guard and the shaft is a tight fit . It looks good now.I am ready for some saturday cutting. Thanks again !
