Fence Mower

I'm sure you've already decided you want the grass under your fences. I like the fencemower but the $$$ is up there. I wouldn't want anything with a weedeater type nylon cutters which would need replacing too much.

I spray a bit of eraser (round up) which our ag-coop had on sale $50 for 2.5 gallons. If I keep up with it, I don't have to remove any vines or thorny briars from the fences. I think I spray maybe 3-4 times a year. Works best on a hot day.

That fence mower looks good if you have compete access to your fence lines...no trees.
If you have sawbriars, honey locus or Mesquite trying to take hold you still need to spray to keep them at bay. That sawbriar grows pretty fast.

I only trim my roadside fence to look nice, my neighbors cows trim the other and I spray the nasty stuff.

Here is another mower to take a look at.

Weed Chopper

I heard that a friend of a neighbor built one like this.
He used a hydraulic motor to drive it.
I'd like to see what he built and get pictures.
I'd like to build one myself.

This mower looks free compared to ANY horse training.

Yeah, I might have to get one of these fence mowers. They are nice people. I am going to the factory to check them out. They will have them ready to demo and they are going to hold one for me incase I want to take one home. Nice people, D.

My back hurts just thinking about bending over and fixing the string every 100 feet. :(

I think a little sickle bar mower to run behind an ATV is needed. Something round or curved, that would fold back when it bumps into a fence post.
