My Woods finish mower hangs on chains for the front height determination. Does that work OK with the quick hitch too? I got a flyer from a Harbor Freight local store outlet with a $64.99 price on the quick hitch and also a 15% coupon on the back page. That brings the price down to the $55 dollar range so 'I'm thinking'. Also, how much does that increase the needed pto shaft length?

I use a QH with my land pride at2572, works ok but you have to watch that the pto shaft doesn't hit the upper frame of QH when going up a hill. I'm going to move the lower mounts on the mower up about 5", you might not need to if your yard is flat. It will move your mower back about 4".

The drive shafts on most of my attachments were too short when I began to use a SpeeCo quick attach. I had to purchase a pto drive shaft extender ($55) which lengthened the pto shaft about 6 inches toward the rear. This provided enough length to accomodate raising the attachment without losing the 6 to 12+ inch lap length needed on a 2 piece drive shaft when in it's most extended position.

I use the Pat's EZ change but that is of little help to you. The Harbor Freight hitch needs to be the same distance between the hooks on the hitch as the pins are spaced on your mower. I did not have to change the pto shaft on my tractor and I have heard that some have had to. The spacing will be the key item for you IMHO

I use a spee-co quick hitch on 2 different tractors and mowers. The JD 3720 required a pto extender with a rhino mower. The Case-IH Dx29 with different mower did not. Like mentioned earlier, watch the top of the quick hitch so it does not hit the pto shaft. I put the depth stop on both to limit lowering. If I lowered both, the top would just touch the pto shaft.
One mower was modifed slightly to fit my the width of the quick hitch.
