I've only put in three hours of play...uh...work time so far with my new tooth bar but in that short of time I can say it makes all the difference in the world! It down right gets after it.:D Picking up limbs and logs are so much easier. Great purchase!:)

I've been using my Markham tooth bar for over 2 and 1/2 years now and I am super pleased with it. I've used it to dig up lots of tree roots, pry out rocks and scrape up hard packed clay. Just last night I loaded up 6 dump truck loads of clay with it. Without the tooth bar on: the tractor would have struggled to penetrate the piles to fill the bucket.

NOW YOU DONE IT!!Just had to keep teasing me about this toothbar.:D So i just ordered one from them.Im gonna tell wifey its all YOUR fault!!:D
Question:The inside of my bucket is 46 and 3/8 exact. That would be a tight tight fit. Id have to tap it in with a hammer.I want to be able to flip mine up ,so should it be made slightly smaller? I just asked this question when i just ordered via e-mail.Whats your opinion?

When I ordered my toothbay they wanted exact measurement because they will take 1/4" off of your exact measurement to allow for fit. You should be good.

Talking about mounting I ended up not using the slotted holes in the toothbar, instead I used my existing holes in the bucket and drilled new holes in the toothbar. I do not have any plans to flip it up, I intend on getting another bucket and putting my bolt on edge on the new bucket then switch buckets if I don't need the bar.

Hey Alan,
I think you should tell your wife that everyone on TractorByNet is to blame. You know, strength in numbers! LOL! DKNARND is right on about the measurement. The 1/4 inch will allow you to flip it up. You'll love it. The quality and fit is perfect!

Everything has a good side and a bad side, even a Markham toothbar. The good things are too numerous to mention. The bad things are,.....well....uh....oh yeah, like Henry Ford said about the Model A, "you can have it in any color you want, as long as it's black".:p :D :D :D

I've already drilled the holes as you can see, so where it is is where its at!:) :)

Hey Mud, no worries, pull the tooth bar off, get busy working that cutting edge down, then your holes will be in the right place for the flip up version. ;)

I should have gotten a Markham, but I stumbled across I deal I just couldn't pass up - twice the cost, four times the wait, individual teeth that wouldn't be worth taking off, ever. So don't feel bad about the placement of those holes, but git 'er dirty!!!! :D
