I am going to an auction on December 7th and they have a 1998 woods GTO52 tiller (same as a GT52 but with adjustable offset). I've researched and found that the new GTs run around $2000. Did not find any info on used.

This one looks in excellent shape and thought i'd bid up to $900 or $1,000.

What do you think? any chance of getting it?

How do you like the landpride? what model is it?

The one dealer here only has the Landpride reverse rotation model and I think it was around $1800 for a 52 inch. Said he could order any style though.

72 inch KK gear drive II cost me a bit over a thousand.
I don't think I can easily break it either.

I went to Tractor Supply Co. today and priced out a 60 Inch King Kutter. ;) It was $1,146.00. A very reasonable price. They had none on hand to look at as it is the off season but the brochure sure makes it look like a solid machine.

I think i'll down grade my auction price a little. If I can get a brand new for 1146 it might bee worth it. Unless some of you had bad luck with this brand before.

The only worry is that the King Kutter is a solid gear drive (does have a slip clutch). A solid gear drive seems a good idea unless the metal the gears are made are weak.

the odds of getting King Kutter parts beyond 2-3 years are slim to none. If your not concerned about that, its a great value.

The King Kutter should have a slip clutch in the PTO shaft.

Also, what tis the problem wth parts? Did they go under.
