Snowblower snowblower hookup problem

I JUST USED MY BLOWER FOR THE FIRST TIME THIS YEAR AND MY HYDRAULIC HOSE FOR THE POWER ANGLE CHUTE KEEPS POPPING OFF. ANY SUGGESTIONS

I don't knwo what style couplers you have, but I had a similar problem on my Kubota. My connects are the push-on, pull-off style. They do not have a retractable collar. I had one that would seem to seat, but pop off as soon as any hydraulic pressure was applied. It turned out that the coupler body was binding a bit in the mounting block, and you coudl see that it was pushed back further than the others when coupled, where it should have been popping back adainst the hose nipple to make a good connection. Wiggling around the coupler and making sure it pops back when you plug in the hose might do it.

Now the question is "does my explaination make any sense?"

What do you mean popping off. There should be two hoses. One is popping off? At the QD end at the tractor? Is the QD end the correct one for the Tractor end.? Did you seat it all the way and bring the collar back?

yea ,it make sense,i have the retractable collar and it will not seat and just like yours under pressure it comes off.i've tried to wiggle it and it still don't help. i think i'll just buy a new female end coupler and see if that works. thanks for your help

Re popping off quick connects--
I always had that problem as I often installed/ un installed my fisher plow on my plow truck.

2 things made life easier.

I'd flush/clean the slip collars using WD40 as sand and crap would get in and prevent good action

The other was to keep a plumber's torch for when ice would freeze the slip rings.

While it sounds crude and unprofessional, the pair of couplers lasted about 10 years.

Oh, another thing, release the built up pressure by depressing the check valve built in the couplers prior to attempting to couple. Makes life much easier. It will squirt a minor bit of hydraulic but is a small price to pay for an easy couple.

In addition to releasing the pressure, twist the hose and the collar while you push the hose in.
