By golly you're right. I posted the question before I looked at the Jinma. I'm not familiar with it either. Are they any good?

You will generally need to do a little set-up initially, but if you do a search here you will see that thet have gotten great reviews by their owners. They are a good value for the price.

Lil_country, do a search and you will find a wealth of information about the Jinma Chipper. I have had one about a year now. They are well worth the $$.

I am not positive, but I was tinking that Jimna Chippers were a little less expensive. Doesn't the Liberty ad say they are manufactured in America? The corporate office is in Phoenix with warehouses on both coasts. They could import I guess, but if they have the same specs I would go with the Jimna. If you are really interested I would contact the Liberty people and ask.

I sell the originial Jinma Wood Chipper.

Going by the parts book it looks like a copy of the Jinma chipper.

Looks similar .... Feed drum drive shaft is different, Front belt sheild is different, feed shoot different just to name a few.

Looks like some of the Jinma parts would cross......... not all.

It is a China made chipper.

I can't see how this is anything other than a slightly modified JM-6

From their website:
"Unlike other tractor wood chippers, Liberty Chippers American engineers have designed this chipper from the ground up for reliability. "

I highly doubt this is true. Making a few modifications is not same as designing it from the ground up.

And take a close look at this picture: (and others like it) http://www.libertychippers.com/images/chipper-k-large.jpg

If you enlarge it enough you may see the exact same chinese characters on the tag.

Well I sent them an email pointing out that the Jimna Corporation would be highly suprised to know that Liberty designed their woodchipper...currently waiting for a response...
