Side lift arm crank

I've seen tph side lift arms that employ a crank instead of a turnbuckle.
1) Do these work well?
2) Does anyone make one for a scut? (Kubota bx23)

I guess these are called a "leveling box". I found this http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/yanmar/107350-cat-1-leveling-box-2210-a.html on a TBN search but nothing else. One of the problems I think I may have is finding a leveling box with the bottom forks angled the way it is on the bx.

My Kubota dealer sold a blue Ford tractor adjustable arm to me. I am somewhat satisfied but it is just a little too long at it's shortest adjustment. I had to drill a new hole in the lower lift arm for it to fit. Now the non adjustable link is at a different spot than the adjustable side which makes picking up the box level difficult. This could have been avoided by me checking the length and making sure it would fit in the same hole the factory adjustable arm does.

In my opinion these will work fine if you get the correct length. Don's worry if it is a Ford tractor part on a Kubota or whatever. If the length is right and the holes are the correct diameter it will work.

Check TSC.. they sell one.. and you can torch / weld on it if it ain't perfect.

The crank ones are a hundred times better/easier. You can make all adjustments from the seat. Ideal for plowing. Mike
