I have a quick attach on my FEL. I am thinking about making a quick attach 3ph. I use a 7ft blade to cut dirt with then I have to change to a 6ft boxblade to smooth it out. I was thinking I could go over the ground first frontwards with the blade then back back over it with the boxblade. Would this kind of use harm my FEL?

I would think that you can weld up a mount and QA plate for the box blade. May take some effort and thought, probably would be necessary to have gage wheels on it. That's the way Skid Steer's use box blades. The Box points forward, so you would drive forward with it - much easier that direction!

I am wondering why you aren't using the box blade to cut and smooth with? The Box should weigh much more that the blade. With the scarifers down, it will cut more. When you get ready to smooth, raise the scarifers up.

I would be too afraid that the forces mentioned here would still apply. However, a FEL QA to iMatch adapter would be an interesting experiment, I'm not sure what I'd use it for but it sounds neat. :)

I have a FEL quick-attach to 3PH adapter for my NH tractor. I normally keep my 3PH bale spear attached to it, but I've been temped to hook my boxblade up to it just for fun (if the pin spacing will work). My adapter is a fixed width and not every 3PH implement will fit. If I can get the boxblade on the front, that would give me a grading blade on the front in the forward direction and I could pull loose materials and distribute them in reverse in clear view without turning in my seat.

Maybe if the weather is nice and I can remember, I'll try to hook up the boxblade this weekend to see how it works. Since I have two boxblades, I could have one on the front and one on the rear at the same time.:)

I want to do the opposite and make a plate that goes from the I-match to the JD quick tach front carrier, I've never seen one that I'm thinking of, but I think they make an adapter like the one he's referring to. I can't think of any rear attachment I would use on front but forks on the 3pt work great also all the guys with loader mounted power angle plows could put them on the rear and still have use of their loaders.
I got the idea after I made this contraption, my forks adapted to my I-match, with a little more work I could have made a plate that would allow any front implement to quick couple to the 3pt via the I-match.
I'm a contractor and in this season I've got way to much time on my hands!

Well, the weather today was beautiful and I decided to play with my FEL-3PH adapter. My first few pictures are of the adapter with a bale spear. I also have a CNH nameplate that shows it's an OEM certified attachment.

I tried the adapter with my yellow boxblade that has captive pins and ran into a problem. The claw is too thick to clear the boxblade. I'd need to grind a little off the claw or off the boxblade to make this work.

My red boxblade worked fine. Everything lined up and the blade worked just fine as shown in the pictures. I also used it in some red clay and dug with the scarifiers by curling the boxblade so only the scarifiers dug into the ground. It worked okay and I loved looking forward to view the boxblade in clear view, but not being able to tilt the blade made it less adaptive than on the 3PH where I have TNT. It also really looks goofy hanging off the front of my tractor.

The one 3pt thing in particular I can think of that I'd like to use on the front is a landscape rake. I just wonder which I should buy first - the rake or the adapter?

Many of the guys here are always talking about down pressure for a 3 pt attachment. This is an easy way to get that done.

I have been toying with the same idea. I was going to mount a quick attach plate to the back of the box scraper so I could use it to push dirt or snow and then have the three point adapter as well if I wanted to drag the box blade.
