Anybody know what brand this is? The casting on the gear case says "J and S foundry, Dewey OK" and of course there is no such listing. Just trying to decide whether to overhaul or toss. Thanks.

If you can not fix it, you might consider replacing the gear head with a hydraulic motor, and let you tractor hydraulics do the work.

I have a old central Tractor PHD that the main shaft in it broke . It cost me $200 to have a shaft made. A new PHD was about $350 I figured that I had all the other parts for it why throw away everything so I had the shaft made and put back together , well 7 years later still using it. V

Have ya priced a new PHD lately??

If it's in decent shape then rebuild it.

I have a Vassar PHD, that is made in Oklahoma (not sure where). It has ears on the gearbox similar to yours. But maybe all of them do.

Hope this helps.

Thanks. I'll see what I can find. The ears are the hang point for the pin that goes thru the lift arm.
