- Sold my Kubota B6100 when I moved to WA
I've rented a 3ph PHD twice now and I'm convinced I need to buy one. At $78 per day (including tax), I've now spent about a third the cost of a new one. As important, though is the cost of renting v.s. owning in time and convenience. It's 30 minutes each way from my house to the rental dealer. Add time to load/unload and pay the bill and I've spent 2 hours with the thing without drilling one hole. And you need to reserve these things ahead of time. So I reserve one for Saturday but come Saturday AM it looks like rain. If I pick it up and it rains and I don't get my holes drilled either I take it back by closing Saturday and lose my $78 - or pay another $78, use it Sunday and get it back to them as soon as they open on Monday morning.
I'm in the market for a PHD - the hassle of renting one is way too much like my Monday-Friday job!
