As for the Woods SGT line - - - I don't think they are as good as the King Kutter 6 foot tiller. I have the King Kutter, has problems with the first one, but the second one has been great. I have tilled approximately 10 acres with it and it is as good as new. Know someone with the Woods and it didn't fair as well. But if you want a larger unit which is where I am with my current search, you have to get away from the KK.

Anybody heard about a "BALTIMATIC" tiller made by Baltic out of Denmark?

I have looked into this same question before. Actually, about a year ago. And I still don't have a tiller! I believe the best bang-for-the-buck must be CCM. I am probably going to go with CCM. I have been drooling over the CCM SR-210 for this past year. . . . I just looked at their website and it is $2,700.00!! It was $2,400 this time last year! I'd better get it quick! Actually, it's still pretty reasonable from what I can tell.

If I had an unlimited supply of money and was going to use it very extensively I'd get a Howard Rotavator. Of course I don't have $5,000 to $8,000 to spend right now.

I have a John Deere tiller that I picked up used. Don't know who builds it but like it alot. It is a 655. I think they are around 2400 new I picked it up for half that. It is 55 inches wide.

CCM's dealer support and responsiveness is great :D! I have had no real problems with my CCM tiller. Jay

I borrowed and used a Kuhn for 2 years---broke many tines and the main shaft( sch. 40 pipe) twice!!! For what they charge for a main shaft it should be made of platinum!!! Bought a CCM 6' deep tiller(can't remember the model number, but 22" scroll) and have merrily tilled 7+ acres for 3 years with nary a problem---no new tines---no problems---period!!! Cost then about what the repairs to the Kuhn cost in parts alone!!!

Guess what my recommendation is!!!

Does anybody have experience with this manufacturer? There is one at a dealer near me that they purchased as a demo. I can't get much info on the company to see if they are still in business, parts availability, etc. It appears to be a strong piece of equipment.
