Hello guys,
New to this business. Question for you, King Kutter attachments (box blade, 4 ft rotary cutter)...will they do the job that the Rhino brand equivalent for $700 more will do? Thanks for any advise.

Sure, and especially if the boxblade weighs about thesame for probably as long.

Light duty is light duty, no matter who's name is splashed on them. Now, Rhino makes a full line. Medium and heavy duty models will obviously be tougher and probably work better when the going gets tough. For light use, KK is a tough act to beat for the buck. Step up in duty rating and THEN start looking at the "premium brands". IMHO, there's no need to spend huge bucks on a light duty mower when low priced units will perform just as well.

Bought a cheap (L&S) 5 foot rotary cutter about 15 years ago. Beat the heck out of it first week on 2" pine trees and then just cut grass most of the rest of time. It now is broken and as far as I can see it was a good deal all around. What is $450 divided by 15 years?

This time I am moving up to a medium duty cutter, cause I can afford it now and want something I can hand down to my son that is still working. Both will work, just what you think you really want from a piece of equipment. Do you drive a Ford or a Mercedes? Both get you down the road.

Could not get weight comparisons but the Rhino 48 inch specs weight at 262 lbs. The 48 inch KK SHIPPING weight is 350 so they might be close. The 60 inch Rhino weighs 446 but the shipping weight for the KK is only 415 so if you are looking that large the Rhino is probably stouter.

I would try to look at the units in person to see if there is a difference in metal thickness or construction.
