Here is how I move small trees iwth my JD #7 backhoe. The tree is aNorthern white cedar or American Arbovitae and is aprox 10 ft tall.
Beginnign to dig around base. Shovel is for comparison.
I also dug the backside because of tree size
Ripped tree out of ground. It will be fine, just don't let wife watch. Rootball maybe 125-150 lbs.
Dug new hole. Could be bigger but this works OK.
Finished with support twine. This will do fine with a lot of water for first year and fertilizer placed 6" away from edge of roots.
