I was wondering if anyone had some ideas on using attachments to make poopy scooping easy. I have a 1 ス acre and two dogs that like to use the entire yard, and I do not like to think about doing it by hand. I was wondering if a lawn sweeper or landscape rake would do the job. I am in Michigan and now that winter has broken, I am probably not the only one that has this chore to deal with. Thanks in advance

If you find one, let me know...

Every time I mow my 1 acre yard, I gotta spend 20mins walking up and down with shovel and bucket...

I think there could be a market there for a budding attachment inventor...!

Its the sloppy ones that you gotta watch out for..(-:

A lawn sweeper should do the trick. I use mine to pick up aerator cores, which look (and weigh) about the same as your target. :)

If you use a sweeper I am thinking you are going to need some time for them little bombs to dry out or you are going to flinging fresh Ca-ca all over the rest of the machine... Then you go put it in the shop or garage and guess what it is going to smell like in there..
My daughter and I train Service dogs to help handicapped people. So sometimes you can train Fido to use just one part of the yard.. Just call it Pooh corner..

My grass and leaf vacuum attachment does a great job on the residoo-doo from my 4 critters. Even those samples fresh out of the oven. A power wash on the mower deck removes all guilt. Do it when the grass is a bit longer so the 'emptying' part of the job isn't so messy.

Ya I was thinking that a sweeper would need to be cleaned after use. But if it did the job it might be worth it. I wish I had the time and know how to build something, I can't be the only person in need of something like this. Thanks for the ideas

Sounds like a money maker if you come up with something efficient and practical.. That chore is up there with my other favorite...Scrubbing the toilet.:)

We have show dogs (SO hobby) and I set the mower deck high for the first cut in the spring. That tends to lift and break up the stuff even if a little of the grass gets cut or doesn't. A rear discharge mower on the tractor is a plus for the -er- rear discharge. Above all, always wear brown shoes and avoid rotary mowers.

Much worse than cleaning the toilet...and no sink nearby

You must be mighty good with that power washer.

I know every time I aim one at any kind of a machine, it always manages to shoot some dirty water straight back at me.

I solved the dog issue by getting more acres. At some point it is better to just say: "I am not going to mow that much land."

Even my wife doesn't think that mowing is a good idea.
