Front-End Loader Box Blade VS. rear angle blade VS. FEL for dirt driveway

I sort of maintained a road with a box blade, but since the DAVA-grader is finished, the boxblade will get a much needed rest. I can relate to posting a build and get no responses, lol, as that happened just recently with the Davagrader. I thought I had posted too many pic's with it! David from jax

Justin, I can't seem to get one to work from my phone. Do a search for Davagrader or threads started by me and it should be near the top of the list. David from jax

Just my opinion here!!!! Either a box blade or a grader can do a great job. Much of what makes the difference is the weight of the implement. At least when you are talking hard packed gravel. You will notice that the recent posts are from those who are running 6-8' grading blades. Most likely weighting over a 1000#. You need a tractor with enough horses to pull it well. Weight is your friend when you talk box blades or graders.

3RRL good to see you posting. We haven't seen you as much lately. Give Loretta our best and let us know what is happening at the home place. I always enjoy your projects.

Mark has a good point, as my boxblade is a med duty 6' and the Davagrader is 7' and almost twice the weight. However, filling in water cross channels is easier with the grader due to the skid pads and the double blades not dropping into a rut and making it deeper. Either will work. David from jax

Anyone know the name of this type of implement?
