Kubota L4610 HSTC, International 2400, Hesston 1280,
First let me thank all of you for sharing so much good information & ideas, but I must thank TraderMark most of all for the present time. I saw the picture he posted of his treegetter on the rear of his tractor, a week or so ago. I went out the next day to get the iron I didn't have, to start my project with a few changes I hoped would be good. I think it is better than I hoped for. See attachment for finished product. Then I will submit others to follow, to try to show what it does.
The only time you have to leave the tractor is to take pictures. (or if you get too close to the fence & take up a post) You learn fast this way.

Of course it works very easily when the tractor has an HST transmission.
Showing going after the tree.

Look at this set of roots.
Of course this is deep sand. Haven't tried it yet in tight dirt.

Most of the time, if you pull in to the root tightly, it will hang on, even when you turn the teeth down.

when it hangs on like this, you can move it to a group staking area to be picked up with the forks, before dropping the loader to the ground & drag the tree out of the teeth by backing upl

So you see, I have a fairly new tractor, brand new camera, new implement, and boy I am having fun.
I will attach one more related implement picture, cuts up to 8" hardwood, at the ground or up in the air. (just watch where it falls)
Also I hope someday to build a heavy duty treegetter for the rear of my big tractor, to pull up bigger trees than this tree getter will do.

Neal -

Man! That's the stuff tractor fantasies are made of. /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif

You did one fine job on that tree plucker. Looks so professional you could probably return it to Kubota.

That's also a bee-yoo-tiful tractor ya got there. Not much you can't do with that bad boy. Nice photo coverage, too. Seems like you can do no wrong today. I look forward to more of your tractor exploits and accompanying snapshots.

BTW - with a tripod and the self-timer on your camera, we could probably see the proud papa in some of these shots. /w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif

That's a really nice job, Neal. It looks like you bought it from the dealer.

Here in Maine, our trees don't have roots that deep.... too much ledge. And my Cadet 7360 has much more lift capacity on the 3pt than on the loader (3410 vs. 2000). So will you make mine with a 3pt mount? /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Harv, thanks for the roses,
We have several other implements that we built over the years. I think this is the only one I ever painted. Just wanted to show off (and learn) with the new camera. Some of them did a good job, & some didn't pan out so well. It seems I see these new ideas & want them, faster than I can build them.
Neal
