Antique grubbing plow..
Here is a picture of an antique grubbing plow used for pulling rocks, etc. from new fields. It doesn't look like it would be that hard to make a modern version, and it would be pretty handy for those without backhoes.

My dad made one out of curved plow beams to fit on the back of a Allis Chalmers WD45 cleared 25 A of stoney ground with it. Renovator

Looks like it does what I have been doing with spring tyne harrow. I have been over the ground many times but still the the stones and bits of wood keep appearing.

A subsoiler would do the same thing I guess, but the two tines are more apt to keep the rock from just turning around, and it sets further back from the tractor to give more room to roll a big rock out. My land is so rocky that I hate to even try leveling spots since it can make more mess than it fixes. It takes a lot of time to drive around everything sticking up with the mower though!
