CDSdad, thanks I didn't think that the Landpride looked bad, and face it the salesman will sell what he has (which is a woods).
Surewhynot said:My Kubota dealer said he sold me a perfectly good L3240 that would work with that mower, and to not even attempt to use the BX1500. I like the Landpride price at $1725 but was wondering if it's worth another $300 to go to a woods mower? Any suggestions, I am mowing 6 acres of flat land in grass and weeds.
Phil_R said:I do most of my mowing with a Woods PRD7200 (72" rear discharge finish mower) on my L3240HST. No regrets spending a few dollars more for a Woods mower. Rough cutting is with a slip-clutch equipped Woods BrushBull 60.

I paid $2130 for that mower a year ago. THe only thing I dislike are the wheels. They are too narrow and can tear my grass up if going to fast HOWEVER my ground is very sandy and I am not sure anything would help except for 4" plus tire width. Have fun looking at the toys!
Hey Stu,PSDStu said:Phil,
Just curious why you use a 60" cutter on your 3240 instead of a 72"? I thought a 72" cutter would just overlap the tire tracks........ and a 60" cutter would be inside the tire tracks?
