need help. I purchased a 3pt gray market backhoe and after putting it all together I had to install rear hydralics on my jd 3320 to connect to. Now all the hydralics work on the backhoe but after attaching it my tractors 3pt won't lift it to move it. Any suggestions as to why? Thanks, Earl

Hey Earl:

If you installed the JD Power Beyond kit for the backhoe, the 3Pt is cut out of the circuit when the backhoe is plugged in. The JD backhoe is mounted directly to the tractor and only lifted into position by the 3Pt.

If you have Power Beyond, it will have two hydraulic fittings on one side (tractor right on my 3320) and one on the other. For the 3Pt to work, the two fittings (one above the other) are connected by a hose with a quick disconnect fitting. Try this-- with the 3Pt connected, lift the backhoe up, and then lock the 3Pt with the Rate of Drop/Lock valve (below the seat weight adjustment knob) before hooking up the backhoe hydraulics.

Thanks Steve, it certainly seems like that is what is happening all right. I just asked the jd dealer to run in rear hydrawlics for the 3320 and it has the 2 connections on the right hand side for the hoses, if this is what is called power beyond I don't know. But for certain you don't even hear the 3pt even start to lift with the backhoe hoses connected. I was worried that the weight of the backhoe was perventing the 3pt to lift. I will do like you said and disconnect the hoses and then try to move it. Thanks Steve. Earl
