Hi everyone,
Novice here, so dumb question(s)...
I have a JD LX5 rotary cutter. It appears that the sheer pin did what it was supposed to do when the cutter grounded out.
I went to a local JD dealer (small stuff only-- garden tractors, gators) and they didn't carry the pin. It was suggested that I go to Lumber 2 to try to pick one up. Went there, and couldn't find anything that specifically said sheer pin.
Is this the same as a cleavis bolt with cotter pin? If so, what size, or do I need to travel a bit to the JD with larger stuff or some place else?
Also, do I ever need to change the oil in the gear box?
Thanks.
