Import backhoe or Woods?

There's a 3 pt backhoe for sale on ebay. "RE180 Backhoe Attachment w/ Independent Pump Bucket" The seller says they're imported from Italy. The pictures look nice. I'll have to build a sub frame.

Anyone try this one out? Do you like them?

My local dealer has a Woods bh6000 with a subframe in stock, but nearly $2000 more.

I realize $2000.00 is a bunch of money but a backhoe is a big investment. I would spend the money and get the WOODS. I've cheaped on several implements but for the backhoe and loader I stuck with name brand. Independant pump bucket sounds like it's PTO driving a seperate hydraulic system. How much time and money to build a quality subframe? I would guess at least $500.00 for materials, maybe more with steel prices climbing. Just my 2cents.

I looked at it on ebay, I'd be tempted. The bucket digging force of 4850 seems unbelievably high. The BH80x is 3780, the bh70x is 3100... The dipperstick force seems very high also.

I got my woods bh80x it seems very high quality. I got it on a pallet delivered, which saved a bit of money, assembled it myself.

You might be surprised shopping around for a Woods, just take it off the lot, don't bother them with assembling it...

I have an Italian backhoe. It's a Nardi P220. I built my own subframe for it. I also had a smaller Mazzotti that I traded for the larger Nardi. They are nice and well made units with good valve and PTO pump. Is yours like that? Do you have a link to it?

I think Woods makes a nice hoe.

I would choose a sub-frame mounted hoe over a 3 point mount.

From what I'm hearing, a sub frame is a must on my B7610. I'll go visit the Woods dealers this weekend and see what's out there.

Seconded. Doing business with Bob Wolf at Woodbury was a delight. Not only was his Woods backhoe price better than any other I could find, his price for installation was unbelievably low.
