I have an old 4' bush hog type brush cutter you pull behind a tractor that I would like to sell. I don't really know how old it is...could be from the 60's. It still works. Does anyone know how much it might be worth? Thanks!

3pt are true 'pull' / lift type?
Generally old implements go for half value or less of new. For a small one like a 4'.. I can see about 100-150$.. maybee 200$ if minty, clean and painted with no issues or leaks, and decent blades and tail wheel / bearings., and someone was looking for that particular unit. soundguy |

Kinda depends on where you are and how heavy duty it is -- hard to get a four foot of any type around here for less than around $350 unless it really is in tough shape. As Soundguy said if you use the 1/2 price guide --$325 would seem about right versus new TSC prices. Condition matters more than age

I was at a ranch auction a few weeks ago and an old 4' (maybe early 80's model) went for $725. I thought it was a bit much since the 5 & 6 footers went for around $400. But you know how auctions go. . .two guys decide they want it and the race is on. Once they got past $300 I was dropped out and enjoyed the show.
Then I bought a used 5' Deere 513 for $450 from a Deere dealer. A new 5' fromt he Deere dealer is about a grand, so the half new is probably a pretty good guide. You might try asking your local dealer how much it woul dgo for if they were selling it.
