Does anyone have experience with small Agric brand tillers (45")?
I purchased my agric tiller (AFMJ55) with slip clutch used a few years back and I till about 5 acres per year with it every spring and fall. It is a chain drive model. I have very rocky land and I have had no problems with is so far.

I have an Agric 5' model (not sure which one, it's outside, I'm inside)
But it's been pretty unstoppable (after I fixed the driveshaft, it was too long)
I've probably done 40 to 50 acres with it over the past few years.

Does a real nice job, I've had no problems with it or parts wearing out, etc

I have an Agric AL-50 that I use for planting about 6 acres of food plots. It was VERY used when I got it 2 years ago. I replaced the chain and a few tines. It does a good job of tilling when I can keep the gearbox support bolts from shearing. I have drilled and tapped the original 10 mm bolt holes on the gearbox for 7/16" bolts (grade 8) and they broke also. I just recently drilled and tapped for 1/2" bolts. Haven't used it with the larger bolts yet. If they shear I will add more support to the drive shaft axle from the gear box to the chain sprocket with U-bolts or something similar. I will also try tilling at the shallowest depth at first and gradually increase the depth on additional passes. If you need parts try dnequipment.com.
